Nizhoni Cosmetics, by Mie was destined way before I ever knew. A sequence of life's events brought me back to my hometown where I was later asked by my close friend to join her in coaching the local middle school dance team, named "Nizhoni". I remember thinking, "that's such a beautiful name", not knowing at the time that it was Native American for 'beautiful-in every way'. I was new to the team, but was instantly drawn to not only the girls, but to the message and values we began instilling in them. What no one knew, is that after the birth of my daughter, 3 years prior, my self esteem plummeted. I hated everything about myself, which in turn caused me to stop trying to feel pretty. After a while, I decided that I would no longer sit in that mindset. I told myself that if I wanted to feel better, I had to act better. I had to put on a cute outfit, do my hair, wear a little make up.... basically, show ME some love. So that's what I did. Years later, Nizhoni Cosmetics Beauty & Skincare came into fruition. I decided that I wanted to help others feel good and look good, so that they could be good to others and to themselves.
